London Metropolitan University 2003 - 10
Stephanie Schober has an ongoing relationship with the BA Performing Arts course. Her company has been performing at the university and students visited her performances at the Southbank Centre. As a guest lecturer she has been teaching various subjects including Laban Movement Analysis, Choreography, Contemporary Dance Technique and Pilates. She created two works for the third year students:
'Two Group Studies' (2009)
Using compositional ideas for movement and sounds, the intention was to investigate group dynamics. Two works were created with two different groups, each interpreting the same tasks with very different results. Performed at London Metropolitan University.
‘Nine voices, my song’ (2006)
A collaboration with composer John-Marc Gowans exploring connections between recorded and live vocal sound and movement. Performed at Jacksons Lane.

Dance Beyond Borders 2008 - 9
Dance Beyond Borders is a European training initiative for young dance artists, which took place over 9 weeks in the form of residencies in London, Lisbon, Hamburg and Antwerpen. Selected participants had the opportunity to develop a new short choreography, which was then performed at Hamburger Sprechwerk, Artblau in Braunschweig and at the London Metropolitan University in London. Stephanie was one of the mentors on this pilot scheme, teaching composition workshops and coaching the participants in their process. More here http://dancebeyondborders.de/2008

The Northern School of Contemporary Dance 2007
Stephanie was a resident choreographer to create a new ensemble work with the year 3 BA dance students:
'Whiskey girl'
Inspired by the folk music of song writer Gillian Welsh, she directed the students to create their own movement, text and sound materials. The piece was created in a three week long intensive process. Singer Maria Jardardottir assisted her as a voice coach. The piece was performed at the school's Riley Theatre in Leeds.
Laban 2003 - 5
Stephanie created three ensemble works for the third year BA dance students:
‘Just once’ (2005)
'Solos for two' (2004)
'Inside us adaptation' (2003)
The pieces toured to regional colleges and venues. 'Solos for Two' was also performed as part of the International Dance Exchange Ruhr at Pact Zollverein in Essen, Germany (2004) and at Laban as part of an exchange with BA dance students at Palucca Schule Dresden in Germany (2005). The works each were created over an intensive rehearsal period of 5 weeks with the help of company dancers who taught technique class and assisted with the rehearsals.
